Masterclass with the amazing Caroline Barnes

I had been eagerly awaiting news of more masterclasses I could attend since graduating  from AOFM so I could brush up my skills even more! The first to appear on the AOFM Facebook page was with Caroline Barnes!

For those who don't recognise her name, Caroline has graced the pages of Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Marie Claire and Elle to name a few. Kylie Minogue, Cheryl cole, Prince, David Beckham and Naomi Campbell are only a minute sample of some of the huge personalities she has transformed and her work has been seen on campaigns for the likes of Max Factor, L'Oreal, Agent Provocateur and Marks & Spencer.

When I arrived at the studio I was pleasantly greeted by a glass of champagne and hugs from the other newbie MUA's I had left behind.
(Note the empty glass of mine!)

So, after a few more glasses and an offer of canapes we were led down to the studio where Caroline was.

Caroline started off by telling us all about her life and how she had started out. She explained how she had fainted on her first major job and got booted out of the place! Well, it just goes to show we all have to start off somewhere! I really liked Caroline as a woman, she was very sincere and charismatic and genuinely normal! After giving us advice on how to manage life as a MUA (she has 2 children so knows the struggle of a modern woman) she showed us her amazing portfolio of work.

.

She then went on to create 2 different looks on the models; natural skin with a 5 minute smokey eye and then a dewy skin look with a glossy lid! I loved both looks and she gave us some really top tips which i'll take with me along my journey!

So, I had a totally amazing day, learning some top tips and meeting my pals once again! Loving these free Masterclasses, thanks AOFM!! xx
